What actually happens with the fuel relay in this setup. Since its a safety relay to turn the fuel off in case of engine stall.

This now can be done via the BDP sensor correct? The + fuel wire from the ignition can now be routed directly or is it still needed?

The ECU controls the fuel pump and turns it on and off. You still have a relay , but a normal one for the current. Basic EFI.

Currently the setup is that the ecu provides tach signal to the tach and to the fuel pump relay, that signal keeps the pump running, its exactly the same as the oem, just that the signal comes from the ecu and not from the coil.

Just finished the tune for the 931 EFI setup, it made 170hp at 5500rpm and 237Nm at 4000rpm.
This is what the 931 ecus will come with.
From here you can lean the mixture a bit, as it is running high 10s AFR, and you can also increase the ignition advance as it is running a conservative 19deg.
The settings set i provide is a very safe one, very similar if not identical to the factory one.

My aim was to replicate the OEM performance, so i'm also replicating the oem AFR and ignition curve in the upper RPM.
My 931 has sat since the late 90s or early 2000s and must have a total of 2-3h of running since started on EFI, and on a bore inspection it still has the ring rust marks as it sat, and still made the 170hp and 237Nm on a dyno that is known to never show more hp.
No knock, everything smooth.

So there is still some performance on the table as it is now, even more if you add an intercooler.
I think this is a good base setup that can be either enjoyed as it is in stock trim or built uppon should you want more power.

I will be driving this car for a couple more weeks to keep an eye on it and refine some transition areas of the maps and settings but after that, the project is completed.

I really like this since you make it so simple and straightforward

Curious about mpg as you continue to test and tune but you might not be testing like that

Thanks Mike.

I can and will do a certain speed calibration, meaning i'll drive to 90km/h on a flat and see where that puts me on maps...and set that area of the map to run fuel efficient....i'll do the same for 120km/h and that should be good for cruising.
Other than that the maps need to be fairly smooth to avoid funky behavior.

I have 2 more weeks to optimize the 931 maps.
The SC and NA maps i'll be able to further optimize starting with end of September when i get my 924 back in once piece.

This looks like a great solution to end my 924 woes. Can't wait to get my hands on the kit.
Cheers Bob

First drive to actually enjoy this car...until now it was just development, tests and more development. Car pulls very strong and consistent, feels very capable and lag is minimized.
I also did some brief adjustments of the cruise fueling.

My turbo adventure comes to an end as the temporary registration plates expire tomorrow and unless i do a permanent registration, i cant get any more plates. The car goes to storage and will be shipped to its old&new owner sometime this year.
Still needs a lot of work, but it is now a solid running car, and the next guy will hopefully continue to bring it back to good shape.

I'm starting a new build run of EFI kits 15th of September.

There are some guys already on the list but i figured i'll announce here as well to be able to properly size the the list and build.

Supercharger kits build is running at the moment and should be finished before 15th.

EFI kits are configurable for NA/SC/turbo applications but the configuration needs to be specified at the time of the order.
