|
|
So, the current flow diagram says the ignition live wire goes from the ignition switch to Terminal H on the fuse board. A lot of other things are stated to go to H as well.
However, there is no plug H on any picture or diagram of the fuse box that I can find.
Long story short, the pin that goes to the TIU on Plug A is burned, I don't think there's any way to fix it and I'm not paying for a whole new fuse board so I think the best way forward would be to cut off the wire and join it up to some other source of ignition live. It's meant to be a 1.5mm2 wire so it needs a pretty hefty source.
Any thoughts? |

On further review, H I think just means direct to the battery as in H for Harness.
The 4mm2 wire to the ignition switch is split into circuits:
4.0mm2 31 starter solenoid, CSV, TTS
2.0mm2 15 Ignition system, dash gauges, warning lights, reverse lights
2.5mm2 X(1) headlights via the headlight switch (I have relays though)
2.5mm2 X(2) Wipers and cabin fan
Everything else powered direct from battery off relays which are variously powered off X and 15.
Anyway, Pin A12 is still burned out. In theory I could repin the connector but I don't think there's any way to clean or refurbish the pin on the main board.
Tempted to purchase a milliohmeter to measure the resistance of all my wiring but they're rather expensive £200+ |

Relayed it off some other ignition live circuit. The car actually runs a lot nicer than it has in a long time with a full 9 volts at the ignition coil. |
