There is a seven pin connector under hood on the right side of the engine compartment on my 1987 924S. Is this a diagnostic test connector?

My car doesn't have cruise control, is it possible that Porsche would just have the pigtail and not have the option installed? That now brings me to another question, is the wiring in place for a rear wiper if you don't have a rear wiper installed?

Is there a dedicated diagnostic port for the engine computer, or is there no on board diagnostics or data stream for the 924S?
