While I totally understand how this switch works (Haynes manual, p.121, #7), I cannot find anywhere that tells me what it does and how it does it.

HOW does it control boost pressure electrically? I thought the waste gate did that...........

Can anyone explain that to me?

TIA,

GN

Cuts the earth for the fuel pump relay........now no fuel to continue the overboost.

Thanks! Have schematic now. See that.

Haynes manual says switch is N.O. until it sees 15 psi. Not true. Switch is N.C. and opens at 21 psi. My switch is N.C.

So what is a "K27/26 3257 6.10 hybrid turbo"? Enquiring minds want to know....

Well it can be found here but also in a lot of other threads. If you are relatively new here, its one of the most interesting and coolest builds you will find and the turbo itself comes from another epic car (sadly no more) from Morghen, the GTSwanabe. The link to when the hybrid turbo was installed in CarreraRSR's CS

Edit: What I want to know is when FastEddie hits 20-25PSI, what happens?

The only thing I ever witnessed with this switch is a car being dead because the wire fell off. I should know by now to look first there whenever the car dies or doesn't start

When my overboost switch failed/not earthed it allowed the car to run but next to no power to drive it as the pump was not running. Others have not been able to start the motor.

Turbo shenanigans .......... its a long and winding path of education and confusion. After 11yrs of ownership and modification, I still don't know all there is to know. Time google searching this forum is your friend. Your questions will not new and will have been asked and answered numerous times here already

That wasn't a pointed statement to find your own info. It was a polite suggestion to read lots of threads. I've forgotten far more than I have retained from this forum
