I'm surprised nobody has commented on the Holbert 924GTR on Bring a trailer closing today. Full tube frame with remnants of the stock body. Lee White got 550 hp out of the motor for qualifying. A double Arm suspension front and rear and Hewland transaxle, probably the 300 used in Formula 5000. I hate to think of the cost per mile to drive it, they never were terribly reliable.

bring a Trailer https://bringatrailer.com/listing/1982-porsche-924-carrera-gtr/

Used a lot of different stuff, Moldex crank, Cosworth rods, In reality I don't see many remnants of a 924 besides the block and head. The Merkur, Mustangs etc they ran against were equally modified.

The alternator looks the same. Interesting installation.

Huh, I'd never thought to mount the fuel cells on their side. Certainly helps with the fuel slosh on cornering and addresses a space issue too. Genius.
