Just bought a 88 924s. Front sway bar, no rear bar. New Bilstein shocks all around. How well does this car handle with good tires with this stock suspension? Without rear bar? Ger.

Its impossible that it had no rear sway bar, especially being an 88.

A stock 944 is an excellent starter car, enough power, good handling and great balance. Somewhere you said you has RS3's, use them they are a good tire. No other mods needed. A set of poly bushings would firm up the suspension, but also make the car a bit harsher on the street. The Spec944 cars that do serious racing are basically a quite hard suspension on a standard car, with all the required cages and safety equipment. My 924 race car has a very similar suspension(400lb spring front, 300 rear) and I have done a few illegal street runs to make sure it is running and it is not a pleasant experience. My only recommendation would be to maybe get a seat that holds you in a bit better, nothing very radical just a bit of a bolster like the cheaper Corbeau's High bolsters are more difficult to get in and out of for street use.
