My son I are fixing his 1977 Porsche 924. We have replaced the fuel pump and filter; installed air pump/EGR to pass emission; and preformed all the maintenance from spark plugs, oil, oil filter to belts.
Current problem is the car starts well, idle low but stalls when hot and idling like on intersection. It will starts back up again with ignition. The car was tuned by mechanic specialist to pass California smog. Help please |

Could it be the vacuum lines? I also have a 1977 924 and the vacuum lines are so crusty that they fall apart in my hands. A previous owner also decided to do some vacuum line customization which is all wrong. So I bought the Haynes manual and am rebuilding the whole vacuum system to match what's correct, on page 105 of the Haynes manual. |
