Has anybody make this to have more voltage output?
look at this and tell me if it´ll work. www.detomaso.nu/~thomast/alternator/
I´m going to do it the next week.
My car only gives 13,4 and when i put the lights on drops until 12,8 or so withdout tell when the radiator fun turns on 12,3.
I´ll try it.
wish me luck.

the mod seems sound.

Before you do that it might be a good idea to fix the problems you have. I would suggest replacing the earth cable between the alternator and the block and connecting a second earth cable from the rear of the alternator to the chassis rail. Also check the earth cable from the block to the firewall, the cables from the alternator to the battery and clean up the earth "crown" under the dash above the fuse box and the connectors to it.

If after fixing the things that always cause a low charging voltage you still want more charging voltage then drop in a diode.

This may be a really great mod for those car stereo heads out there too....I may just try this on my extra alternator.

There is a much simplier mod that achieves better results. Just replace the Bosch alternator with a Delco.

I think a delco alt would be slightly more expensive than a $1 ($0.02 in quantity) diode.
