Really enjoying watching this amazing work progress. Thanks again for taking the time to share. I'm curious what was done to, as you say, turn the US-spec motor into a Euro-spec motor. I've been half-heartedly trying to put together a list of the differences (recognizing of course that there were multiple US market engines) between Euro and US. So far I haven't found a comprehensive accounting anywhere.

As far as I know ,there was very few changes between late model US market car and Euro cars. Two major changes are pistons and ignition distributor. Early US cars like late 76 and 77 models also had small valve cylinder head. They produced only 95HP. Later US cars were rated at 110HP and 115HP. Euro cars always had 125HP and it was only option through whole production.
Please correct me if I am wrong.

My car has Euro pistons and distributor, late head with large valves that is fully ported and gasket matched. I also installed thinnest head gasket that Cometic makes to bump compression even further. Have MSDS header and no cat. Flywheel is cut 3.5lbs to reduce rotational mass. I am hoping for 140hp. We will see.

About as close as I'll get to seeing a Martini on a showroom floor. Perfect!

Amazing attention to detail, I keep looking in the hope I can find fault with something, but it is a waste of time!

This is going to be a benchmark car.

Amazing work, great to see that kind of effort put into a 924.

Thank you guys. Lately I am really busy at work. Have no time to work on this car at all. Bummer, but I do not want to rush it.
