the samples of possible alternatives to the board should be available now.

Go to http://203.164.144.113:1924/ (you need to include the port address - the :1924 at the end).

At the moment they are running on a test server in my front room attached to my cable connection. If the speed is a bit slow it's probably because there is a 256K limit on the upload speed of the cable.

Reply or send me an email if you can't get through.

Have fun.

Peter in AU.

about the only thing that I know of that isn't working is the automatic email.

Most of these give you the option of being emailed when someone replies to your post. Because these are running on a test server, our mail server is not sending the email out onto the Internet.

Peter:

I tried to post on the third of the three options but couldn't because it said my password would be emailed to me. Have'nt received it yet. Is this part of the board functional or is it because this is just a testing setup? Can't post without a password.

So far, the second board seems most user friendly. How are they for maintenence? Easy? Can you archive and search on these three?

Thanks and nice work.

BTW, there was no 931 at the grassy knoll. It was the 911. Check the Warren Report. It said "eyewitnesses report seeing a small man with a large rear end wearing out dated clothes skittering out of control as he left the scene hurriedly." Had to be the 911.

sorry about that.

Login with username "924s4ever" and a password of "eatme". The emailing out of the password is a good thing if we are geting spammed regularly but we're no so it's a bit of a pain.

Nice work Peter. I especially like the ability to not see all the responses of a thread if you don't want to.

actually, all the boards come with a plug-in which only allows you to say really really nice things.

It's called the larso feature.
