Just pulled the engine from my 95k mile 77 924, which I'm modfiying to a pretty extreme degree. So, no use for the engine in the foreseeable future - it was a good runner that functioned quite well until I parked the car to begin the disassembly process. The engine is complete with all accessories still on it (alternator, wiring, intake, etc.), just very greasy! The fuel injection has been disconnected as the individual lines were getting brittle, would need to replace them and of course update the hoses, belts, gaskets etc. as you see fit. I will let the whole thing plus the torque tube go if you make an even remotely reasonable offer - just try me. I'm in central NC near Raleigh. You can also call 919-331-7971 if you like, before 10 pm EST please.

Hmmm, sounds like we've got another V8 candidate!

Well, whatever you're swapping in, you must promise to provide a report w/ pics to us!

Well, I would PREFER to put in a Porsche product. But I never say never...

This is why I've been searching fruitlessly for a couple of weeks for an 82 931 engine - to replace the spare one w/ only 50k+ miles that I foolishly sold John Brown last year.

Failing to find a good low-mile 924 turbo engine, I will spend a few (HA!!) more bucks and modify the front frame rails to accept a spare 951 front crossmember I have, and just drop (I mean lift) in a 951 engine.

Regards,
Al

OK... how far from the Outer Banks are you? Will be there end of July and maybe I'll rent a one way trailer.
