Anybody in the PA area want to stop by and say hi? Hayes Lewis and I will be at the SCCA race at Pocono on August 9th and 10th with our IT-B 924s competing in the Northeast Division Road Racing Championship and Mid-Atlantic Road Racing Series (MARRS) event #6.
I haven't driven at Pocono in about 25 years and am looking forward to trying the new track layout. Hopefully, the 924 aero will help us out there.

Ed, the event will utilize the 2.26 mile course which is a combination of the North and South without the chicane or NASCAR 1. I've seen a video of it a while back and I'm going to do the test day on Friday. Shud be a blast

Starts are CRAZY there, especially when you have to funnel down from 8 wide to 2 to get onto the infield. Then LOTS of passing there coming off of NASCAR 2 into the infield. The fast line is to the outside. The passing line is tight left. I've been into that turn 3.5 wide in and 2 wide out. Watch your mirrors. Have fun!!

Good luck guys!!! May the gods of speed be on your side.

My season has been relegated to autocrosses (changing careers and no budget) I will be back out next year though!

Hayes placed P1 in ITB after a troublesome problem with fuel delivery (or lack thereof) cause by a faulty fuse for the fuel pump. Chuck ran a few places further back down on power due to ignition timing problems, still under diagnosis but likely caused by a fault in the distributor. They'll be at it again on Sunday.

A few pics of the festivities....

Chuck is the only car NOT braking onto the main straight. Hmmm...

Holy crapolie, he's still there...

Nice job guys! Good luck today!

Not so great at our end; the #65 (P1 car) is out with a busted chain - though minimal damage thankfully.

The #77, the Toofah, is struggling with ignition/electrical problems of its own. Possible alternator in addition to a miss, something in the electrical. Possibly bad plug or wire or the like. But we should be able to sort it and get Merritt back up to speed again.
