Here's a short list compiled of 924 dismantlers and parts dealers which might be of use for locating parts no longer available for our cars. All are currently listed as in business.

General Searches for Car Parts:

Edit: Revmoval of PAP Replacement Parts, Norcross, GA.

Partwerks of Chicago has been out of business for a few years now. I looked at buying their inventory.

Somebody has recently started back up under that name.

I should have left Partwerks off the list since I know nothing about the business since the change in ownership and move to a different address. It was included for the dubious reason of providing a source in that part of the country. The original business might have closed because of a number of dissatisfied customers.

PAP Replacement Parts, Porsche/Audi/VW genuine parts & dismantlers, in Norcross Georgia was originally included in the list since they had no complaints of which I was aware (unlike Auto Atlanta in that part of the country) but it has been removed from the list. Although they still have a dubious Web presence, I cannot now verify their address or business.

I should have added the disclaimer thatI haven't purchased enough Porsche parts to recommend or disapprove the businesses listed.

Partwerks went out of business because the owner (jay) died. He and his wife lived in new lennox, not sure if its the same address. All the inventory was in a warehouse they rented. The owner of the warehouse was trying to sell the inventory by renting the building out. I saw everything that was left there, nothing was worth much. All the valuable stuff was gone.

If you call Oklahoma Foreign, ask for Gary. He knows the old stuff quite well. They have a few early 924s, a couple of 924S models and scads of 944s. The 924s are pretty picked over/have been there a long time. This is a good place.
