| Neither of us have 924s, let alone any kind of P-cars, but duncan and I were talking about heading down again this year if our schedules permit. That OK? We had a blast last year! |

Who's in this year? I have a funny feeling we may set an attendance record for 931 cars this year, assuming folks can put the finishing touches on projects within the next six months.
Also, a few ideas for activities this year. . .
Swap meet? If so, where and when? Rasta's house prior to race weekend, or at the track?
Sport drive? Our Sunday outing worked very well last year, and I have a passel of routes to choose from!
Track day? I may be able to arrange something with my car club, or in the alternative we could paddock the cars in the infield and do the parade laps one day.
Lemme know what you all think. Looking forward to seeing you all again, and I would really love to welcome some new participants. |
I'd be up for all of the above!
I'll keep an eye open for parts at the local yards so folks can get the most out of those poor unfortunate toofahs.
I received some books from a local author that is all about taking the back roads around Oregon. I'll bring them over and we can flip through to find some potential driving routes for folks to vote on.
Since I have the 951S now, I can even go on a drive and keep up! Though the plan is to get the 924 running well enough to take it on the drive instead of white knuckling the drive across town . We'll see how far I get with that...
Looking forward to seeing everyone again, bring yourselves, toofah or not and enjoy some sun and cool old cars! _________________ Stefan

I'll be there! Swap meet, trackday, and infield parking all sound great! I'll have tires that don't have cords showing through this time, so might stand a better chance of keeping up with Rasta. _________________ Riley

That was a fantastic time last year! It looks like the timing will work for me to be there again this year. I'm in for a track day or at least another good drive, but mainly just the company.
I'm currently freshening the front end of the 3L. I hope I have some left in the budget for decent rubber or that track time could be interesting. _________________ '88 924S 3L 6sp RedRat

Discounted tickets have gone on sale:
http://www.portlandhistorics.com/tickets1.html
You'll need a parking pass to park in the West end with the rest of us. The Hot-rod pass isn't a bad deal if you're bringing someone along with you.
See you there! _________________ Stefan

| I know this is awful late, but does anyone have a 924 hood with bolts they can bring on Saturday? I don't care color or condition (too much) but cheap is important. |

| I'm coming on Saturday with as many parts as I can fit in my car. If you see a red and black 1987 924S and/or a very large guy with long hair wandering about in a confused manner, that would be me. |

We'll keep an eye out. Basically when you drive in the main gate, get your tickets and parking pass, and into the track itself, follow the outer road all the way around the backside of the track. Eventually you'll end up by the grandstands on the front straight near the chicane, keep following the road through the gate, onto the gravel where the RV's are parked and around the larger corners at the end of the main straight. You should see one or more 924's parked on the hill overlooking turns 5 & 6.
Of course I'd make time to head to the pits and check out the cars and watch some races com various areas of the track. _________________ Stefan
