| I just bought a 1981 924 turbo. One odd problem I have is the wipers never stop running even when in the off position. And one the driver side works. If anyone can point me in the right direction that would be awesome |

Remove your wiper relay for a quick fix.
The parking feature seems to be broken. _________________ 78 924 NA

Probably start with searching here on Wiper relay and Wiper switch to get the wiper motor to stop running. I suspect either the switch is shorted internally or the relay is stuck on (a quick tap on the relay with a screw driver handle might get it to stop)
Then you'll need to disassemble the wiper motor and drive assembly to get both sides working again.
Hope this helps! _________________ Stefan

Well that might help for now but when I need use them then I'll have to put the relay back in. I'm looking for the correct fix |

Thanks I'll give that a shot once I figure out which relay that is |

That's pretty detailed around here. If you can't find it, I'll look it up and put it here. _________________ Stefan

The relay controls the wiper park function and the intermittent function. Removing the relay gives you two off positions, slow and fast, and you just need to turn the wipers off at the bottom of the swipe.
Then, you can fix the problem at your leisure.
The relay is not needed for the wipers to turn on and off. It is only used to get the wipers to run in the off position (in order to park the wipers), and for the intermittent function. _________________ 78 924 NA

It could be the switching disc on the motor. If it's full of conductive gunk it won't know when the wipers are back in park. This is similar to the problem people have with the headlights not raising or lowering correctly.

Check the earths behind the dash and to the wipper motor these can cause the wippers to keep working if not properly earthed.
Have no idea why that happens but my GT nhad similar problem and was t,raced to faulty earths
Cheers
