So what gives? All set for the big Historics and:
Brian L. - comes down with a mystery electrical? gremlin
Twisted - biffs a wall
Xander - blows a gasket
and now Rasta, the man himself has a tweaked control arm.
Would somebody please kill a goat already? _________________ '88 924S 3L 6sp RedRat

Oh and mine won't start now. Spent all day resplicing the trigger pickup and ignition module wiring and still no joy. Now I get to replace the shielded wires to see if I can solve the problem since there was one broken which started this most recent fiasco to begin with.
It did run earlier in the week, but it wouldn't shut off, indicating a short to ground someplace. I found a loose ground by the ECU and a slightly loose one under the dash. but she hasn't fired since then. No tach, no RPM signal at the ECU or spark. So it's either the trigger pickup or the ignition module since the ECU is working just fine.
Frustrating! I wanna drive my damned car!
So yeah, can someone stop this BS ride? I wanna get off now! _________________ Stefan

Good Gawd! Just came in from another 5 hour go round. Good news figured out my mystery problem. My super duper genius vacuum advance diaphragm that I made was over advancing my timing. Funny because I didn't think it was going to advance enough. When I would crack the throttle it would pop and backfire. I took all day again just to get it started, changed the cap and rotor again and just happened to forget to plug in the vacuum hose to the advance and there you have it, it fired right up! I still plan to leave Sat. morning. Cheers!

Hey Guys!
It was cool meeting everyone, I had a great time! Sorry couldn't stay longer, you know family stuff. Next year should have one to bring down. I enjoyed looking at the cars. Nice work on all of them.

Khal: you were missed. I should've offered you a ride down but I figured you couldn't leave the 951... You were replaced with rum
Stefan: Your car is awesome, love the megasquirt conversion and wheels. I also like your hat and frozen grapes
Kevin: Your car is quite the beast, and I'm quite the jealous. Thanks so much for giving me the chance to drive it, it was awesome... I've nicknamed it the 924S3
Rasta: You and your wife's hospitality made the track heat bearable. Also, shaggy being for sale is tempting me... My wallet is upset
scriblz7: I feel awful but I never caught your name..... Otherwise your car was the cleanest there and definitely my favorite to look at. And it sounds great without the muffler
All in all Duncan and I had a great weekend! Thanks to everybody for being such good company.
Definitely coming back next year in my own car! Hopefully with a working sunroof and a cool shirt to make up for the lack of AC...

I can't thank you guys enough for making the weekend a success. The camp site was perfect and as comfortable as 100+ degrees can be.
The drive to the coast was a hoot. It has been a very long time since I've scared myself that much on 4 wheels (and Shaggy still left me in the dust).
Please extend my thanks to Terry and Kim for contributing those grass-fed angus burgers and Toby and Nicole(?) for the great coffee.
It was also well worth the trip just to put faces with names.
Just waiting to hear if Riley made it to Seattle with the open headers. (Thanks for the pix and vid Xander) _________________ '88 924S 3L 6sp RedRat
