Got back down the the pull a part in Daytona looking for some bits. Seems those effers like crushing old Porsches. 79 and 87 '24s gone, '44 and '28 gone.
Did find an 80 '28, wasn't in too bad a shape.
Got the armrest from it, made some mods, just test fitting now, don't think mine ever had one.
I was wondering if the sunvisors would work, they were in real good shape, not like my deflated balloons.
Also got a rad fan from an old Rabbit...uuggghh...

drove it, haha !
bled the brakes properly today..took 2 hours in a well equiped garage.
M030 brakes are stupid...you have to take all wheels off..have the car on an elevator and each caliper has two bleeders.
Since my calipers were full of air...we had quite a few rounds of bleeding. _________________ Supercharger and EFI kits

1500 miles on completely dead dampers last week convinced me to get my butt in gear and install brand new HD Bilstein Sport dampers for all four corners. Yeah.

I finally started doing my own GTS lights from the tutorial in the how-to section. I started on it a long time ago and was discouraged because it didn't turn out great the first time. This time I bought all the materials I needed and so far it's been much better than expected. Going well. Will post pics when I have enough to show a decent result. _________________ - 1977 Porsche 924 2.0 N/A (Trackday Project)

Welp, I restored my hvac unit recently, and I just finished rebuilding my shortblock, which only had 1,500mi on it. ( I threw an alternator belt in a bad neighborhood, thought it wouldn't be safe to hang out) Needless to say, I warped the blok. Dan the man with be slightly richer in the next few weeks. I'm looking to get head studs and a cometic gasket. Sorry, no pichers yet. _________________ 1978 924 NA

not much..tried to set the height on the fronts but kinda failed.
perhaps the springs are not matched? the driver's side sits 5mm lower aldough the spring seat is 10mm higher...so ~20mm deficit.
but went to a local drag racing event and took some pics.

Finally got in to Edmonton to help Scotti with the redneck carb conversion on the racer. We ran it sans air box and, man, is it LOUD! The thing raps like a 73 GM pickup. If the airbox and throttle linkage can be fabbed up this week then next weekend it's off to the races. Well, for Scotty, anyway. My work sched may not allow it. I will have more pics to post but won't get a chance for a couple of weeks. In the meantime, here's the update on the racer thread:

Got them both for $100. Going into the 81 soon. Might also remove silencer and cat since the car is not loud enough.
