Hey guys in this new 931, somthings up with the hatch. the hatch on this one was off the car when i got it. I notice it doesnt have the hole/plug for the rear wiper and it has the fat metal trim all the way around it. and the holes for the spoiler were too close to the edge.(there was no spoiler on it) So im thinking this hatch was from a 924NA, but ok I dont car about that to much.
BUT, whne i go to put the hatch on, it doesnt fit
the latch hooks/prong thingies are about 5-10mm to far back. and the hatch is as far forward as i could get it.
Whasupwitdat?
I mena even if this hatch is off of an NA it should fit a turbo just the same right?

maybe it's not off of an NA, maybe it's off of a 944, dunno if there is any difference but hell it's a possibility.

According to my reference catalog, there are two different part numbers for the hatch. But I thought the difference in numbers was for the rear wiper option and, on later models, for the third brake light. I was always under the impression the hatch sizes were the same. I've got a hatch from a '86 944 that I'm buying. Anyone know if there's a problem mounting that on a '80 924 NA? I checked the FAQ and the tech section but couldn't find anything.

Buy the hatch. I have a 944 hatch on my 924 and do not have any problems. I also have about 4 hatchs in my garage for anyone who needs one locally. NYC. Too big to send.
