Can somebody please tell me what is the largest size tire you can put on the original seven spoke mag (14"). I have 185 70 14 but I wan to put 205's or 215's on, is this possible.

Thanks
Richard

I tracked my car with 205s x 60 with the front lowered with 250 lb springs without a problem.I don't think going larger would work.
Remember the fatter the tire the more horsepower you need to get up to speed. According to J. Pasha the stock wheeled car will be faster than the same car.

You can fit up to 17 " but I suggest 15 ' or 16 ".
Changing rim / tyre size does seem to make a difference to the speedometer reading .
As you go up in rim size it is best to go down in tyre profile size. I have seen a table or refrence at a tyre joint that showed that 185/95 14 was reasonbly the same as 195/70 15 and 205/55 16 etc also depending on the rim width and tyre fit.
