I have a stock standard fuel injected 78 2 litre 924. Will a single or twin webbers give me more acceleration ?
Is there any difference with fuel use / efficiency ?
Can i get an electronic ignition kit (CDI)?

From my experienec they will change nothing unless you do some head flow work.
Also a better cam. Take a look at the bolt on articles.

I would think that they atomize the fuel better, premixing it, and adjust accordingly to waht your engien is needing better, because the CIS system is pretty crude IMO, being that the CIS is not a mass sensor system like electronic injection, and a carb is probably better fitted to this type of 70s technology OHC system as long as its a good carb

advantage of carbs over injection: carbs are simple, less to break, great at wide-open-throttle.

disadvantage of carbs over injection: carbs have less accurate fuel metering, are great at WOT but shit down low, you have to keep tuning the damn things.

Even tho the CIS is old enough to have some parts made out of stone, when all parts are working it will stay in tune with German perserverance.

I had the normal CIS system in the '79 I have, I was having every possible problem with it:

Cold Start problem (neither grounding or hotwiring the valve with a switch helped)

non-equal flow from injectors

bad idle and running

I came upon a weber conversion on Ebay and won the auction for $320+shipping (I had to get a lo-pressure fuel pump for $40 and misc fuel plumbing parts in addition), took about 5 hours total to install, and all my problems were solved. The choke was not required, but I installed it anyway, it starts up on the first crank every time and definetly revs much faster (I don't know about power increase because it was running like poo when I got the car, so I have no comparison). I am currently porting a head to put in and am going to get a cam and also working on a supercharger design to go with the Webers.
