Time: 08:21:39Did you purchase the upgraded 944 style tension/idle pulley? If so you can purchase a tool
that has two prongs that engage the holes in that style pulley.
Or if you are like me and don't want to wait, or spend money on a tool you will use maybe 3 times.
Do you have a thin, but strong hole punch? Most screw driver sets come with one. Use the punch
in one of the holes. You can then rotate the pulley into place and hold it there while you tighten the
bolt.
As far as the tension goes yes just able to turn 90 degrees is correct. Normally if you over tighten
the belt you are more lible to wear out the bearings in the tension pulley, but if you are hearing
excessive noise I would track it down and make sure you have the proper amount of lubrication
on the cam bearings. Get a scope or..... a card board tube and use it to track down the noise.
Tube goes to your ear......
Hope that helps.
