I've heard the 931's are notorious for broken exhaust manifolds.

I'm looking at buying a 931, and have a fabricator that would be able to make some. Any interest?

it all depends on the price and quality...get some pics of what he's done until now and then ask again.

I think if you could reproduce the log style with a different flange you could sell them in the $250-$300 dollar range...

If you went BassGT style and made a tubular that was out in front of the motor with a brace, $500-$600.

At least that's what I'd pay.. Anyone more, and I'd just have someone local do it.

It all depend on the quality of the work. The only major improvement would be something like an equal lenght tubular design, twin inlet with a Garrett flange. A turbo in a higher position would be nice as well. Bass GT made the perfect solution for 931. Maybe something like the 944 turbo or 924 GTR...

Bare in mind that the stock manifold can handle 275hp in the GTS and close to 400hp in Joakims engine It is much better that you think!

Which is great, except, people aren't going to pay hundreds upon hundreds of dollars because he is a top notch fabricator.

If it's a solid design with good construction, you could sell a few.

I don't know for sure but in "jest" I name-dropped Hayward&Scott regarding BassGT's manifold. He did'nt tell me I was wrong? Still, it would of needed the car with engine in situ being on site...a few quid just to get the ball rollin'.
