anyone seen on of these kits on a road car?
I saw someone with a 924h Holbert Racing kit, but they are different. Even the normal porsche 924 D-prod kits are different.
pic. although you probably know.

There are four kits out there. DP, C-prod, Carerra and H.
Those two cars in the pics are genuine DP cars. Both built by Holbert in Warrington, PA. The blue one is the Bundy 1980 DP champion. The white/red, I can't remember. Even though they were factory kits, they do vary some. The DP kits are also available from GT, but someone in FL is building one nowadays. I saw something recently on eBay. They're probably still out there.
The C-prod kit aka "super widebody" is available from GT in Texas. This adds 2" in width to the 944 fender configuration.
The carerra is essentially 944 front fenders and special "924 carerra" rear wheel flares. Probably the most common kit one might see. As it is esthetically pleasing and easy to convert a narrow body car, it has remained popular over the years with the 924 crowd.
The H kit is NLA afaik but one sold here recently. I've not seen another for years. Maybe three in my 20 years with 924's.
All four show up on street cars from time to time, but other than the carerra setup, they're getting rarer than hen's teeth these days...
If you just want something fun, Carerra is probably the cheapest and easiest way to go. However, if you have your heart set on the DP look, it can be done, and done right, but it will likely be quite a bit more expensive. C-prod will be expensive too but you end up with a very aggressive look. And, well, I don't think H is out there any more... |

There is a local dealer here in Metro Detroit that has a 924S that has been converted to the D-Prod kit. It has been for sale for as long as I've been on this board...I guess almost 5 years. They want $10K.
Given your other post about color, though, you probably won't like it

Talked to the guy that has these today. $450 for front fenders and airdam. $185 for the rear flares. He said his airdam is 1 inch lower than gt-racing's.
His # in FL: 727-946-6024
He said he will put more pictures online tonight. |

Hi Guys,
I brought a set of the rear flares for my 968 powerd 924 project, they are on the way to New Zealand. When they arrive i will post comments. I am interested in the front guards as well but these are going to cost me alot as the dollar is pretty shit over here at the moment.
Cheers
