That's North American pricing. Peter, is it not feasable to ship a car from NZ to AU? Is there a ferry (not that its that close, but you never know)?

he'd have to ship it by container. i think AUS has a law for importing that you have to own the car for a year first so he'd have to find storage *cough*

Actually the whole process of shipping a car from NZ to Oz is not too bad. Costs around $2K. If you ship it on one of the Roll-On-Roll-Off ships you drive the car on in Auckland and drive it off in Sydney. Actual shipping time is only a couple of days.

For cars built before 1990 there is no pre-ownership requirements and no additional compliancing issues. It just needs to pass a standard inspection to get registration.

I'd need someone to look after it for a while...

Don't tempt me

Sounds good - I'll look after it for you!

Let us know if you want either of us to look at it for you.

Well, if either of you have some spare time and want to take a turbo for a thrash that would be great.

If it really is as good as it looks it would be a great buy especially with the $4K reserve on it.

I'm hoping to be in Auckland soon so even if this doesn't go through perhaps we can catch up.

I'm working all weekend, but may be able to get to it early next week if J1nx3d can't get there first.

It'd be great to catch up when you're over here.

Oh well. At $5k5 plus shipping and local costs it would have to go to the Video Ref. to call it in or out. Hope whoever got it enjoys it.

I'll let you guys know when I'm coming over, hopefully in the next month, and perhaps we can catch up for some classic Kiwi grog. Do they still sell DB Brown and Waikato Green?

In the mean time if you see any genuine Lotus 7 S4s at a reasonable price give me a heads-up.
