I was looking on ebay, and i saw this and it had me intrigued. It has the sebring year, the sebring paint, and the sebring wheels, but thats it. The seats aren't sebring, the Vinyl down the car isnt, and the owner doesnt say anything about it being a sebring. Except for that, the car is in great shape, perfect dash and a nice clean motor. So what do you guys think? is it a sebring???

Don't think so - no wing, and I doubt they made any auto Sebrings...

Sebring's did not have tails. Supposedly the reason you see both white and black "Sebring 79" fender decals is the automatic cars had the white ones, manuals the black. That is a really nice looking car- unusual color combo with those seat inserts if indeed that is factory.

I had a 81 parts car that was a champagne color that had those as well- I haven't seen a guards red car with those seats before, I like it- I suppose I like unusual stuff though.

It's obviously a repaint. Look at the photo with the builder's label.

Not a Sebring.

Wrong pin striping, should have been thin yellow, black, and white (?).

Wrong rear Porsche 924 decal, way oversized.

Wrong seat covers, shoud have been red and black plaid.

The Sebrings I have seen all had the 5-speed snail transmission. Never seen any with auto tranny.

Have you ever seen a Sebring with the white fender decals? I have a brochure that shows the white but I have never seen an automatic either. I bought a Sebring that I was going to restore and PCNA had given me the info on the white vs black fender decals. The snail shell "Z" transmission was a hologation for the racing program and one of the showroom stock SCCA champions was a red Sebring. Anyone ever see an automatic Sebring?
