Well ya see its like this.... I was taking those anti depressant drugs
and things were going aces Terri was home though I later found out she was taking my sleeping pills in large amounts anyway.. the union I work for went on strike and Terri and I were bored so we were in the amigo
and I decided to get a small pint of jack from the liquar store after an honest 7 years of sobriety too.. well one wasnt enough I got another.
Started early too so we were coming home at the end of the day she wanted to drive I wouldnt let her and as soon as I pull into the driveway.. a police man pulls in behind me. Im arrested for a dui blowin a .214 fined 750 bucks and told to do the classes. Terris mom got really pissed off though cause she was in the car with me .. she filed a restraining order
stating I endangered her life by my driving and made Terri sign it.. I didnt contest it cause of terris health.. though I was later told I should of cause it was a bunch of bullshit. well I sent her 14 letters that her mom intercepted and gave to the police. I was given 3 months. Ten went to a work center and on a day pass went home,a neighbor saw me and on terris mom wishes called the work center I was given another 3 months
and a year probation and returned to jail ending back at the work center where I went home agian and kind of the same thing happend resulting in a revocation of my probation ... a really good thing though given 210 days
in jail with credit time served that equals 11 months. All because of me rebelling against the law for a silly restraining order I did end up taking it to trial where Terri got up and said she didnt want the damn restraining order and never did saying her mom threatend to have her put in a home till she got better. Well the judge postponed the hearing for a week. And came back and ruled the order to stand. Thats when I got the probation
and was released. which was revoked a week later by another judge after I got caught by the phone caller Id this time my lawyer said
Terri and I had a mutual understanding that the restraining order was bogas & I said Id rather stay in jail than have a years probation. So the restraining order is up the first week of june and there wont be another..So Im just waiting it out and waiting on my hardship license to come through. Yea I was on quite a roller coaster with those damn
depressant drugs I gave those up late last summer. After I kept making such rash decisions. Now Im totally free from the legal system.. Im happy to say and yes alot wiser.. and yes Im happy. _________________ 1979 porsche 924 Na

Wow!! Good to see you back Joe!! You were missed.
Sorry to hear you had to go thru such bullshit hell though. Guess you should have been smoking crack and stealing cars instead. Would have been a shorter sentence. Our justice system leaves a bit to be desired sometimes.

11 months just on account of an interfering mother-in-law! That's tough, dude.
Still, it's great that you've bounced back and can now get on with your life.
Best wishes for the future, mate. _________________ 1985 Porsche 924 'Lux', Kalahari Beige (my ex)

Joe, like I said, it is great to have you back. As much fun as we've had, this place wasn't the same without you. That was quite an ordeal you went thru...puts everything in perspective, I tell ya. _________________ erstwhile owner of just about every 924 variant ever made |

Wow. Some coincidence. I was driving to work this morning (in the 924 of course) and my mind wandered to the 924board, and I wondered what had happened to Joe... He used to post so much, but he has been silent for so long.
Welcome back man! |

When (and if ever) you're ready, I'd love to hear some of your strange poetic style writing on your experience in prison. How did you pass the time? Is it a "country club" like it is portrayed in Canada? Are the people really scary or just folks who've made a series of bad decisions? Does time really slow down in there?
I have a morbid fascination with that show "Lockup" on MSNBC where they do an hour long documentary in a different US jail every week. It amazes me, and I'm not sure why. I guess because I wonder how I would react to being put in that situation, either as a worker or inmate. _________________ 1987 951 - M193 Version for Japan |
