Well, have you? I just got one (which I have to go pick up in Phoenix this weekend - it was 107 there today), and I have seen a couple others mention it.

I actually once swore I would never do it, but I have been wanting a 931 and found (I think) a beauty. It's nearly the classic gearhead fantasy of the "barn car." Dad's 931, stored in 1985, then brought out of storage in 2003 when dad died. Daughter gets rid of husband this year, and just wants the car gone. . .$2550!

Yeah baybee!

I bought my '86 944 sight unseen on ebay. It worked out - but I don't recommend it.

I saw that car - too far for me. I got my 944 from Boston, I live in South Carolina. I'm not buying long distance again if I can help it, too much of a hastle.

i have bought 4 cars on ebay. 1 bad deal, as the car was a mess, 1 great deal as the car was much better than expected, and 2 exactly as I predicted. So, I guess overall I am satisfied with my ebay purchases.

I'm still sorting out whether mine was a good deal or not. It did run and drive and it did get me home but it needs a lot of work so I may end up buying another 924/944 to swap the fiberglass Carrera GT body work over over to as the rest is just standard 924 and there are nicer examples about.
