Oops. Re-did the leakdown and number 2 is 100/62. Not good. Guess we have some work to do before the next race.

Rings, then? No chance a valve might be a bit loose?

To the best of my ability the leak was manifest through the oil cap and not the intake or exhaust. Either way it's time to pull the head to look.

In a way I'm kinda glad; for a bit was thinking the newly rebuilt turbo was the source. As it is, the temptation to do an 'in place' freshen up is strong. I did the bottom end of the na car 'in place' and it's not a bad job. Well, compared to pergatory anyway.

He knows it has a very high compression, say over 11:1?, and very aggressive cam with very advaced timing setting. So he knew he blew its headgasket... Did not you see bubbles in the reserve when you sent the compressed air in?

Hey now!! What about your agreement to keep the engine mods secret!? Can't trust anyone now-days!!

The valve guides and seals look pretty suspect. Cylinder walls are good. Having gone this far I'm gonna just pull the block out for a refresh all around. Can't afford new pistions at this time so will have to forego all the illegal mods until next winter. Darn
