82 924 Wiiper fuse blowws when ever i try to use the fluid (pull back on the lever) I was wondering why my car came with a box of fuses in the ash tray, but they came in handy

Any thoughts

Unplug the positive wire from the pump and using a meter, check to see if the pump or the positive lead is shorted to ground.

Or if you don't have a meter, pull the positive wire at the pump, put in a new fuse and pull the lever. If the fuse blows the wiring or switch is shorted, if the fuse doesn't blow the pump is shorted.
