| Fired up my megasquirt system on the 79 turbo today. runs pretty good already. Did anyone do this conversion with a turbo engine? And I would really appriciate it if i could get the tuning data including the VE-diagram, that would make it a lot more easier for me to get quick results. Planning on doing a write up on the conversion, since it worked out very well so far. Car started up the second try without any trouble. That really made my day! |

I have thought about using the system but I am waiting for the next version that should include knock sensing. I just bought a DME and KLR so I am going to skip the stand alone for now.
Anyone need an 87 924s DME? |

| Haven't got any pics yet. used the original manifold. made a fuel rail myself, used the injectors from a 944 type 1 and placed it right where the original injectors used to be. a buddy of mine made the bungs to fit them in. these injectors should be sufficient up to +/- 250 HP. placing the injectors into the original place is i think the best way, i have no problems getting it to idle well. I have heard that some place them into the manifold but then have problems. ... |

Yea! Pretty cool feeling when the sucker actually runs! I couldn't beleive it when mine fired up on the first try.
Are you using the stock ignition? I am at the moment until I get my MJLJ hooked up. I keep getting a momentary blip in my RPM signal only at idle. Anything above 1500 rpm and it is smooth as silk. Are you getting anything like this? It only blips about once every 10-15 seconds. I used a microphone sheilded cord and it didn't help.

| MegaSquirt is an experimental Do-It-Yourself programmable electronic fuel injection controller that will work on virtually any liquid fueled spark-ignition engine. Note that MegaSquirt is the controller only, you will have to gather the remaining fuel system parts yourself |

This megasquirt thing has got me excited... I'm going to convert my '65 Beetle to EFI first. _________________ Ryan Moone

I'm guinea pigging MS n spark on my GTI first, the CIS injector cups swap directly out for EFI cups. Piece of cake! Just hunting for injectors right now. _________________ '81 931 in various states of assembly |

| I have the same momentary blimp, that goes away above 1500 rpm, and i am using the stock ignition. i've tried just about all the hook ups I could think of, but it still is there, now i just left it on the signal wire from the hall sensor at the connection to the computer. One more thing i can't seem to get rid of is when i pull open the throttle, it tends to studder for half a second or so before it revs up. made sure that everything was up to snuff, and tried to adjust the accel. injection time. nothing seems to work. I must say that i'm not spending to much time on it now since i'm trying to get all the bodywork done so that i can get it spray painted this summer. after that it's all about getting this monster to run fast. |

Is anyone here currently using or planning to use threaded injectors with their turbo motor megasquirt conversion ? _________________ Ryan Moone
