Get yourself a CIS Pressure gauge (and test. They are fitted in the top port of the fuel distributor where the hose heads to the WUR.

At what location should we check the pressure, and what should it be?

I can't imagine the distributor randomly slipped while parked, but I will ensure he has checked the timing again.
