+1 on what safe said. As well as going to the WUR, it also goes to the inlet of the warm start solenoid.

The vibration damper is located somewhat between the oil filter and alternator apparently only on 2.0L NA cars. Check out this photo and description from 924.org:

there looks to be a small notch on the crank pulley closest to the engine block. Is that the correct timing mark that lines up with the pointer just above that pulley?
