I've never had to replace the Bosch starter. My solenoids on the other hand need regular attention.

If it's not stuck, the recirc valve should make a clack sound whenever the throttle is opened/closed. That's the quick-easy test. |

Those rocker trim pieces were OE on some (presumably later) 924/931 (or was it only 931?).
Cars that got them also got welded-on metal tabs to hold the trim in place.
