I've got them fitted, but have yet to fire up the motor. They certain look like quality pieces and they are a fair bit lighter than factory too. Check out my www below for a couple notes on fitting them.

I haven't heard to many folks running them, which is surprising considering factory pistons are all but extinct.

Nick,

Checked out your web page...FANTASTIC!. You have really inspired me. I have now decided to do a complete rebuild on my engine including fitting the JE pistons.

Regards

John

Great! Drop me a line if I can help. FYI- I think it takes about 4-6weeks to get a JE set made up. Plan ahead!

I have EBS suplied JE Pistons.

I had to Machine the rod ends to fit the pistons . I would also be careful on clearances. I think JE suggest 4 thou. In my supercharged car No4 picked up when running-in.
We had the bores honed out to around 5 thou and although its been a bit noisey when cold its held together very well.
Cheers
Simon

My JE pistons have arrived and they look great!!(seems a shame to put them in an engine). I went for the 87mm with 8.5:1 compression. Need to remove the block this weekend and drop it off at my local machine shop to get it bored out. I have had the head overhalled already so shouldn't be long before its back on the road. Should be like new.

Thanks

John
