This is the first thing everyone should replace on hard starting. It is a simple job to do and should take about 5 mim. It is at the exit of the in tank fuel pump. Purpose of it is to stop the fuel from running back into the tank. When I replaced mine it was just a fitting with a hole in it. Someone replaced or cut out the valve. should not cost much. I would then check the accummulators, fuel filter and the engine grounds.

If you need a check valve and they will not sell it to you let me know and I will get one for you. My dealer will sell you anything but Euro parts and I have a Euro that I have to go to Europe to get some parts.
