I just noticed the post below about the windblown kit, and i was wondering if there were ever any turbo kits made for a 924S, or 944 kits that would fit. _________________ 1987 924S 2.5L SOHC. |

i've heard that, but people say superchargers don't put out much boost. I'm not looking for a crazy 500 horsepower car, as that would take a full engine rebuild, a new tranny, and much more crap that i'm afraid of.
Could you by chance send a link to one of these kits? Also, what can you tell me about the added bonuses and negative aspects of adding something like a supercharger to the car? What does it take? how much of a difference is there? and how much risk is involved?
Last but not least, how do some of you know SO MUCH about the smallest details of these cars?! Its really quite astonishing. _________________ 1987 924S 2.5L SOHC. |

You should search the board for info on these. Most of the question you are asking have been covered before. Try a search. S/C kits run about $3K

as for your last ? I have a photographic memory if it really catches me but a fairly good memory,
as for the benifits of the superchargers, supercharges would put out as much boost as a turbo, but they also dont have the turbo lag they are pretty much a solid power source, however on a vehicle that wasn't built for a turbo I would say a supercharger is better as you don't have to change the exhaust and worry about the air temp going in being too hot and causing detonation w/o an intercooler, plus you don't have to worry as much about having the fuel too lean and burning up your engine,
as for a link I will try and find one for you _________________ 3 928s, |
