I have an 88 924S that I rebuilt from an accident I had 5 years ago. Everything is reconected and when I try to start it, it turns over but won't start. It started even after I had the accident but like I said it has been sitting around for a while. I replaced the dme relay. Still didn't work. I checked for spark and that is OK. The fuel pump works. I ordered a fuel pressure regulater which should be here tomorow. I will see if that works, and I am also going to check the compression as well. After that I am clueless. What else could possibly be the problem? Also, the airbox was completely destroyed and I have yet to replace it so the afm is just sitting there in the open. would that affect the startup of the car? Does it need to have a sealed airbox to correctly monitor the amount of air intake? Please help!! |
