How does it come out of the 924 hub.

When I replaced mine, I took the wheel off (though I don't think you really have to, you may be able to just remove the center cap). There will be a small retaining clip holding the cable in place. The end of the cable being that little square that sticks out of the hub. Remove this clip, and pull the cable out from behind.

The harder part of this whole thing is at the other end where you have to remove the speedo and then snake the new cable under your dash (do this end first when installing, then do the hub). Also refer to chapter 9 in the haynes manual. The section on removing the brake pads & rotors disusses the speedo cable a little.

how about the plastic cable sheath ..so you saying the cable itself pulls outjust the hub is over in the corner with the cable sticking out I cant get it off.

After removing the E clip the sheath just pulls out of the rubber gromet. You might want to spray some WD-40 or silicone spray lube on it.

yup just pull off the c clip and pull really hard from the back of the hub, it will come eventually, might be a good idea to get a new cable before hand
