Has anyone here done this? While I'm installing a new aftermarket rad fan and I've got the exhaust header off, I'm considering this:

The 944 guys are quoting 100 degree reduction in exhaust temperatures.

Why?

Don't do it for a 931 exhaust manifold, it will just speed up the cracking. For a N/A, have both the inside & outside coated.

the best colour to go for is black. It contains the lowest amount of metal in the ceramic - the more metal the more expansion and contraction. The worst colour is "chrome".

The costings work by creating a barrier to the heat which keeps more of the heat in the exhaust pipe.

HPC have a bit of info on their site http://www.hpcoatings.com/

heres an article explaining heat energy. Seem we typically only use 40% of total heat energy. Looks like you can spray this stuff on anything. Oil pans to mention one.
