How exactly do these install? Are they just welded at the bottom to the existing spring seat?

I think I will need to go to coil-over front suspension or I'm going to have eternal problems with ride height and corner weight.

In my case we just cut away the std spring seat and welded these on where i though would be suitable for the ride heights i was planning to use
