My CV boots are old and cracked so I'm looking at replacing. Has anyone used the ones by GKN Loebro and were you happy with them? _________________ 1978 Porsche 924, Copper Metallic |

I've used them, and they seem good so far, but the included washers aren't correct: they'll slide right past the shoulder under the splines. Not a big deal unless the original ones are damaged somehow. I'm not sure what the washers included are good for - maybe they fit some VW application - but they're scrap for a 924 (unless there's a different variant of CV axle than mine). The boot is good quality, and it comes with the snap ring and grease. The boot and grease is all you're likely to need, and mine were a good price. I'd recommend them: clean out the old grease, make sure you don't lose anything, and you should be good to go. _________________ 1980 931 diamond in the rough |
