1979 Sebring has poor acceleration

Ouch, that's weird, to have the rotor die like that.

Seems to me that the AAV shouldn't be able to be moved manually, on the bench - that would imply that it's free-wheeling and could be anywhere at any time while on the car. The bimetallic resistor strip ought to locate it firmly.

Rather, I recommend testing it (beyond power supply) to be sticking it in the freezer for an hour, it should be wide open... almost closed at normal room temp (70F/20C), and of course closed when at decent engine operating temp.

I'll try the freezer method when I get home from work, I think the rotor wasn't seated firmly on the key and walked off. Thankfully it didn't do it on the freeway 60 miles away from home lol. So the AAV shouldn't be moveable at all with a small pick? I stick a flat point pick in there and can open it all the way with ease, thought it was supposed to be like that. If that's the case then that's probably my issue lol. Appreciates the replies mate
