Thought some of you guys might like this; its recorded in Italian but has english subs. They cover some interesting mods in pretty good detail including building a custom billet stroker crank to bring capacity to 2200cc and BMW 6 piston front brakes.

Enjoy

Its a cool build, ive followed via his IG so it was fun to finally see the whole process on YT. They made some strange decisions, like the crank and waterpump. But they werent shy on spending time and money so why not. Silivo seems really handy in the workshop and the bodyshop did some great work with that crappy body. I liked that they kept most stuff in a pretty standard deisgn and just put lots of boost in it, thats the easiest way of making power on these sturdy engines

Nice to see that fire ring head gasket, if anyone is building a really high HP 924 i would recommend givning TC amail and buy one instead of MLS.

Jacob shared this video with me and I have been loving it. Its super good and I can really appreciate the level of information sharing. Then there is the end of the vid at the track. So awesome

I married into an Italian family so this made it extra special. Notice I didn't just say my wife is Italian... I got the whole experience Would love stop there one day and just hang out for Pizza and Bocconcini (Mozzarella)

This video was about intelligent practical people getting on with the business of making something happen. Plus they saved that poor car! Grazia!

I guess the budget to make that video was more than for the build itself. Ha ha. I don’t like what they did with brakes or intake, otherwise cool build.

He knows how to pedal a car that’s for sure; power delivery looks feisty and the way he was ragging on it made me wonder if the gearboxes really are as weak as everyone suggests.

Kondzi what was it you didn’t like about the brake swap?

Unless I missed something, they put huge caliper and rotor in fronts and did nothing to the rear. Front is easy, rear is tricky due to emergency brake and narrow bolt pattern. They went easy way. That way fronts will lock much easier than rears, which basically means the rear brakes do almost nothing (extreme braking) so the overall braking power might be even worse (only front axle, rather than both stop the car). Not a native, so tried my best to illustrate the case easiest way.

The G31s are acutally very sturdy, pretty few have power enough to break those. Not sure where you got that from

If they actually have the claimed 600+Nm it will be interesting to see how long it lasts, its quite some shove for sure.

I agree with this as well. I have a friend who actively races a couple 924's. He converted all of them he ever had to G31

Never heard that G31 was weak

As far as this car goes, it looks severely under-tired. He is lighting them up in 2nd and 3rd it looks like. Its his wallet I am worried about. He needs a tire sponsor

If they dont care about lap times and want to slide it and have fun they dont need more rubber but for lap times they would probably need a set of 265s.or something like that to drive proper fast

They are quite stout in terms of raw hp numbers it can handle and when compared to its factory counterparts. I have bared witness to 13 dead G31's all in the same location and by the same hand. None other than britain himself, he could tell more about why they died but I know he recently went to a corvette transaxle to remedy the failing boxes. https://youtu.be/Ab-smi1t1JM

This makes me sad given the low count of available donor vehicles

Britain is other level of build and use so I get the switch entirely
