I think Clarks Garage has very good instructions on it or google it, there are several conversations on repairing them. Usually the plastic gear breaks. The shaft on mine actually moved a little and the gear was not making contact anymore, put a little pop rivet washer in and it is all fine. Took me about two hours of total time.

This guy is on the east coast…if you are shipping anyway it will just be slightly more time.

I paid $165 to have my Speedo rebuilt about a year ago, plus shipping. _________________ 1981 Porsche 931 w/S1 engine & euro g31 transaxle. Water-cooled intercooler |
