Hi,
Looks like my oil sender unit on my 1977 Porsche 924 broke. It looks like one of the connections are broken off the unit. Don't see how I can repair it. I can't find the original part number (It's currently installed on the car). I can't find it in the PET diagrams. Below is what I found on auto atlanta parts site. Can someone send me the correct part number? Thank you.

It is buried in the electrical section. 047-919-561. They can be tough to find. I prefer DC Auto and Retro Automotive in Vermont(866-737-1733).

These 2-prong oil pressure senders are widely available on Ebay ( Europe, at least ) provided you don't insist on VDO as a make.

The thread is M10x1 on mine ( same OE number as for the early cars ), and removing it takes a cold engine, small hands, a short 17mm wrench and about 2 minutes.

You may be able to reattach the wire that broke off, provided the internals of the sender are still ok. That would take a multimeter to verify.

If buying new, try to find one that has a switching point ( for the idiot light ) of approx. 1 bar. Many switch at 2 bar, meaning each time your warm engine idles, the oil idiot light will come on. MOST annoying.
