New to working on cars. Just put 45 dcoe Weber's on my 1978 Porsche 924. I had just bought this car and have not tried running it until I put Weber's on. When I try to start it really wants to start (I think my Jets are too rich) but when I stop cranking white smoke pours out of cylinder 2. But just that one every time.

I had some issues with the threading of the spark plugs so I rethreaded cylinder 2 spark well.

Anybody know what the issue is?

I'm assuming you mean reversion back out of the bell of the weber? This is a bit of air/fuel mixture coming back out of the carbie. Could be a lot of things - valve timing, something wrong with your cam, an intake valve or throttle plate that's not closing all the way... Not sure its actually a problem but you might get a bit of flame spitting out as you work through your starting problem.

Check the usual stuff - ignition timing (are the plug wires on in the right order), compression, fuel (your jets) and see if things get better. I doubt the problem you describe is what's causing your no start. I think its something else and this is just an artifact...

Thank you, I was just concerned it was something super serious. I'll order my new Jets and give the car another shot. I'll probably be back
