Correct; one is signal from the Hall effect sensor, the other is the shielded ground for the co-ax wire.

Not sure how best to connect to an MSD, though.

Interesting. I think I missed that ground. I will fix that!

Awesome, thanks! I've been using the MSD diagram, but I wasn't sure what type of distributor I'm using.

Here is the instruction book: https://documents.holley.com/6425.pdf

I assumed it was a Points/Amplifier Style Ignition. Thus my my white wire is going to that center wire from the coax cable on the distributor.

I then figured my red wire was going to the "Z" terminal on my cutoff switch (where the ignition coil is on the diagram for the switch):

MSD Wiring:

Heavy Red to battery positive.

Heavy Black to Ground.

Orange to positive on Coil

Black to negative on coil

Violet(purple) to Positive on distributor-

Green to negative on distributor.

White wire NOT used.

I don't think there is any actual polarity in our distributor, but mine are wired, PIN toward FRONT purple, Pin toward BACK green.

If you are using the stock tachometer the is something needed to make it work right. Someone else will have to chime in on that.

Hoe this helps

Where do you guys get your clutch parts from?

Any recommendations on what we should use?

Been a while since I bought one, but we're using stock Sachs. Heard too many stories about bad aftermarket clutches from other racers... Centerforce comes to mind...

Understood, thanks!

We were thinking of using the South Bend Clutch Stage 2 Endurance kit.

Any thoughts on a flywheel? Ours is missing teeth.....

I'm building a higher power NA motor so I quizzed morghen about the clutch he is using with his supercharged car. He said that the stock Sachs has been working well. Not knowing the cost of the South Bend unit I wouldn't spend extra to get it.

I remember years back Raceboy kept a stock clutch in his turbocharged NA also.

I've been running stock clutch discs in all my Porsche, BMW and Benz race cars for over 40 years. Never had any of the problems my competitors did with their fancy clutch packages.

Great info guys, thanks.

Where do you guys like to get your stock clutches and flywheels from? Pelican (our normal supplier) seems to be out of stock.

FCP euro has them. I've found them on ebay. You should be able to machine the flywheel.
