2,3,4 are wrong way right? I read the manual and thought the 459 was supposed to be readible from back of the head |

Yes, 3 rounded corners and 1 sharp, mine are facing right direction when i look at other peoples caps from other posts, but haynes manual says that the stamp should be readible from back of the head |

Yes, but isn't the distance between the studs and cam different side to side so you cant put them on backwards? |

Does the cam turn? Having the caps on the wrong way will bind it up. Valve spring tension on the lobes is the only thing that prevents it from easily turning when the caps are on correctly. There ought to be a few places where you can rotate the cam back and forth a bit. _________________ 1979 924 NA race car

I've created a whole new vocabulary in my garage past these weeks....
Ive only got to put on the timing belt and get a bigger fuel line for the regulator to carbs because the expensive one i got atm doesent fit. Then i should be able to start it. and also tighten camshaft cover and intake manifold bolts <------ anyone have tips for doing them?? its so annoying

Just make one. Cardboard template, some aluminium sheet and an electric jigsaw. |
