So I was curious to see if the 924 really needs the in-tank fuel pump. I have heard of people removing it and replacing it with a strainer instead and having no problems at all except for being a little lean on the highway.
I know this part is extremely expensive(atleast from all my sources) and was wondering if this would be a good alternative for the future if mine does so go out. _________________ 1980 Porsche 924 Weissach Commemorative Edition |

I did this on my 80 931 without any issue and it doesn't run lean on highway. _________________ 1976 924 N/A ROW SOLD

So what did you do to mount the fuel line in the tank? Does the own pump touch the top of the tank and leave a hole
If so what did you do to seal it?
Sorry guys I have not picked up my car yet to look |
