I'm having an issue.

Unfortunately, when I tried starting my 924S today I left the car in first gear. When the starter motor was turning, I could feel the back end being pulled down. Not a good feeling.

After the incident, the car starting handling differently. There seems to be a dragging feeling from the rear and the alignment seems off.

Has anyone else experienced this? Any idea what to do?

Kevin

I realize that it sounds like that is the issue, but the Parking brake was NOT on. I don't use it.

If the car is squatting with the clutch out and car in gear while attempting to start, there is rolling resistance on the rear wheels. Either parking brake or dragging rear caliper. If it feels like it is still dragging while rolling, then you need to check the rear brakes. Jack up one side and try to turn the rear wheel while the engine is off and the car is in neutral. Do the same with the other side. Any resistance is a dragging brake.
Notice that I didn't say caliper....it could also be a faulty parking brake shoe.

Thank you. I believe it is the parking brake too. I believe its sticking. I hadn't thought about the bad parking brake shoe. I will check it.
